We had a plan. We wanted it to turn out the way we have imagined as best. And ... it didn't turn out as we've planned. We got irritated, stressed and lost our mind. Does that sound like a plan? Lol ... just kidding.

But doesn't that sound familiar? Yes, we intend to be the controller of our life. We are unwilling to accept the reality because we are attached to the dream or plan we had or have. We try to control our spouse, our kids, our job, our past or our future. But the more we do it, it's usually harder for us to control it.

Letting go is not always as simple as we think it is. We are human beings and we form emotional attachment every day. I'm still in the process of learning to let things go. I think I'm getting better, but I know it will be a lifelong process.
We need to let go of our own will. It's a choice but it's a battle at the same time. Let go and let God. It may sound cliche, but peace and stress relief always start with letting Him be in control. Living one day at the time and enjoying one moment at a time.

"Psalm 46:10: Let go of your concerns! Then you will know that I am God. I rule the nations. I rule the earth."
Trust Him. Surrender. Let God and know that He is in control. That's where the power is.
